# App Pairing

Through Workshop's App Pairing widget, users can connect supported Palantir platform applications (such as Gotham's Gaia and Graph, and Vertex) to Workshop modules. This functionality enables cross-application workflows where changes to data or an object in one application update automatically in the paired Workshop module, and vice versa.

In addition to App Pairing, Workshop supports [Commands](../../cross-app-interactivity/commands-overview/index.md), which provide a common interface to declare and execute operations in connected Palantir applications. Commands can be used independently or alongside App Pairing to drive cross-application actions.
