# Scenarios \[Legacy] :::callout{theme="warning" title="Legacy"} Workshop scenarios are in the [legacy](../../platform-overview/development-life-cycle/index.md) phase of development, and no additional development is expected. Full support remains available. We recommend using [Ontology scenarios](../../ontology/overview-ontology-scenario/index.md) when building a new module or updating existing workflows. ::: The **Scenarios** feature enables the creation and comparison of "what-if" analyses using the objects in the Ontology and the ontological concept of a *model*. To learn more about Palantir's high-level approach to connecting models with organizational outcomes, refer to [Models in the Ontology](../../ontology/models/index.md). A Scenario is essentially a "fork" or "branch" of the data in your Ontology generated by applying one or more [actions](../../action-types/overview/index.md), which can optionally leverage models through [functions on models](../../functions/functions-on-models/index.md). The [Getting Started](../scenarios-getting-started/index.md) tutorial covers the basics of building a module that leverages Scenarios.
